Short answer

From 1 November 2026, Xero Singapore costs S$42 (Starter), S$77 (Standard) and S$99 (Premium) a month including GST, up S$3, S$7 and S$4. Existing promo codes still apply until they expire, but the multi-organisation discount ends on the same date.

Xero Singapore old vs new prices

Xero announced the change on its Singapore pricing update page. The figures below are copied from that page, in SGD including GST, as of October 2026.

Xero says the new prices apply to new and existing Singapore subscribers and show on invoices from 1 November 2026. If you have a discount or promo code, it continues to apply to the new price until it expires.

What each Xero plan includes and limits

The plan you need depends mostly on how many invoices and bills you process and whether you deal in foreign currencies. From Xero's Singapore pricing page, as of October 2026:

FeatureStarterStandardPremium
InvoicesQuotes and 20 invoices a monthUnlimitedUnlimited
BillsEnter 5 bills a monthUnlimitedUnlimited
Bank reconciliationYesYes, plus bulk reconcileYes, plus bulk reconcile

Multiple currenciesNoNoYes

Xero notes that Starter's invoice limit counts both approving and sending invoices, and that invoices created by connected apps (for example a shop or booking system) count towards it. A business that connects Shopify or Stripe to Xero can hit the 20-invoice limit faster than expected.

To see which plan you are on, Xero says to go to Subscription in your Xero account and check the Subscription column.

Should you change plan or switch software?

A rise of S$36 to S$84 a year per organisation is small next to the cost of moving accounting systems. Switching means re-connecting bank feeds, rebuilding invoice templates, moving open invoices and balances, and retraining staff, and your accountant has to be comfortable with the new system.

Stay on Xero if

  • Your accountant works in Xero and charges less for it
  • You use Xero's GST filing, bank feeds or InvoiceNow connection
  • Connected apps (shop, payroll, payments) already sync into Xero
  • The increase is under S$100 a year for you

Consider switching if

  • You run several companies and lose the multi-organisation discount
  • You only send a handful of invoices and a free or cheaper plan would do
  • You already use other Zoho apps and want one vendor
  • You are starting fresh with no history to move

If you are on Standard only because you exceed 20 invoices a month, check whether the limit really bites. If you are on Premium only for multi-currency, check whether you still bill in foreign currencies. Downgrading saves more than switching costs, but Xero says you can only move to a cheaper plan one month after upgrading.

What to do before 1 November 2026

You do not need to do anything for the new price to apply; Xero bills it automatically. These steps make sure you are paying for the right plan.

  1. Check your plan and invoice count

Open Subscription in Xero, note the plan, and look at how many invoices and bills you created in the last three months.

  2. Check add-ons

Expense claims and project tracking are optional add-ons on top of the plan price. Remove any nobody uses.

  3. Count your organisations

If you pay for several Xero organisations, work out the new total without the multi-organisation discount.

  4. Talk to your accountant

Ask whether a plan change affects their work, and whether they have a partner arrangement with Xero or another vendor.

  5. Decide: stay, downgrade or plan a move

If you decide to switch, aim for the start of a financial year or quarter so balances move cleanly.

If you rely on connected apps, our Xero integration guide explains what usually needs re-checking after any plan change.

Do it yourself or get help?

Changing plan in Xero is a few clicks. Moving to another system is a project, mostly because of opening balances and connected apps.

IT Sorted is a Singapore-based team of developers with over 10 years of experience. We set up accounting software; we do not do bookkeeping, tax or GST filing. Accounting Software Setup (S$490) sets up Xero, QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books from scratch in your name, and Accounting Migration (from S$690) moves customers, suppliers, open invoices and opening balances from your old system, with your accountant confirming the figures.

Frequently asked questions

From 1 November 2026, Xero lists Starter at S$42, Standard at S$77 and Premium at S$99 a month, in SGD including GST. That is up from S$39, S$70 and S$95. Optional add-ons such as expense claims and project tracking are charged on top. Promo codes still apply until they expire.

Yes. Xero's Singapore pricing update says the new prices take effect for new and existing Singapore subscribers from 1 November 2026 and will show on invoices from that date. If you have a current discount or promo code, it continues to apply to the new price until the discount or code expires.

Businesses that run several Xero organisations, for example one per company, have received a discount on their subscriptions. Xero says this discount will no longer be applied from 1 November 2026. If you pay for several organisations, your total bill may rise by more than the list-price change for one plan.

Starter allows quotes, 20 invoices and 5 bills a month, and invoices created by connected apps count towards the limit. It suits a new company or a consultant with few clients. Once you regularly exceed 20 invoices or 5 bills, Standard at S$77 a month from November removes those limits.

Usually not for the increase alone, which is S$36 to S$84 a year per organisation. Moving systems means re-connecting bank feeds and apps, moving open invoices and balances and retraining staff. It can make sense if you run several companies, use few features, or are already moving to another vendor's tools.
