Short answer
Since 1 September 2026, TikTok Shop Singapore charges 9.810% commission on most categories (7.085% for BXP sellers, who also pay a BXP service fee), plus a 3.27% transaction fee. All rates include GST.
What changed on 1 September 2026
TikTok's Seller Academy page on the Platform Commission Fee, updated 17 August 2026, says the fee was adjusted for all product categories from 00:00 on 1 September 2026, Singapore time. The new rate table is a PDF attached to that page. We compared it with the table that applied from 27 July 2026.
| Category group | Standard rate before | Standard rate from 1 Sep | BXP rate from 1 Sep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fashion, FMCG, most Lifestyle | 8.175% | 9.810% | 7.085% |
| Many electronics and appliances (e.g. kitchen appliances) | 6.540% | 9.810% (cap S$30 per item) | 7.085% (cap S$30) |
| Phone accessories (e.g. cases, chargers) | 8.175% (cap S$50) | 9.810% (cap S$30) | 7.085% (cap S$30) |
| Categories not in the table | Default rate | 9.810% | 7.085% |
In plain terms, TikTok moved from a few rate bands to one standard rate and one BXP rate. Sellers of fashion, beauty and household goods pay more per order unless they join BXP. Electronics sellers saw the bigger jump in percentage terms, softened only on expensive items by the S$30 cap.
How the TikTok Shop commission and other fees are calculated
TikTok calculates commission on the item price minus your own seller discount. Shipping and TikTok-funded platform discounts are not part of the commission base. The fee is deducted from your settlement after the order is delivered, and refunded if the order is returned.
The Transaction Fee stays at 3.27%. Since 1 April 2026 it is charged on the customer payment plus any platform discount, so buyer-paid shipping and platform vouchers are inside that base.
- Platform Commission Fee: (item price minus seller discount) × your category rate.
- Transaction Fee: (customer payment plus platform discount, minus refunds) × 3.27%.
- BXP service fee (if you join BXP): 5.45% for most categories, 3.27% for some electronics and appliances, higher during double-digit and payday campaigns, capped at S$30 per item.
- Pre-order service fee (optional): an extra 1.09% on pre-order items.
- Affiliate commission: whatever rate you set for creators, if you use affiliates.
The BXP service fee rates come from TikTok's Bonus Extra Program article, updated 24 August 2026. BXP gives buyers extra vouchers and cashback, which is why it carries its own fee.
Worked margin check on a S$50 order
Here is the arithmetic for a S$50 item in a general category (for example a skincare product), with no seller discount and free shipping, before affiliate commission. It uses only the published rates above.

Total fees per S$50 order: standard / BXPS$6.55 / S$7.91
Our arithmetic on TikTok Shop SG rates as of October 2026, GST inclusive. Excludes affiliate commission, ads, packaging and shipping you pay yourself.
Two things stand out. First, the change costs a standard seller about S$0.82 more on every S$50 order, roughly 1.6% of revenue. Second, BXP is not cheaper on fees alone: you pay a lower commission but a service fee on top. BXP only makes sense if the extra vouchers bring enough additional orders.
TikTok Shop vs Shopee vs your own store
Fee comparisons only work on the same order. Using the S$50 example and published rates as of October 2026:
| Channel | Fees on a S$50 order | Monthly fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| TikTok Shop, standard | About S$6.55 (13.1%) | None | Plus affiliate commission if used |
| TikTok Shop, BXP | About S$7.91 (15.8%) | None | Service fee rises during campaigns |
| Shopee non-Mall, general category | About S$8.73 (17.4%) | None | 14.17% commission plus 3.27% transaction fee |
| Shopify Basic, card payment | About S$2.10 (4.2%) | S$39 (S$29 if paid yearly) | You bring the traffic yourself |
Our Shopee and Lazada fees vs your own store guide explains the marketplace numbers in detail. Even after the increase, TikTok Shop's headline fees are below Shopee's for a non-Mall general seller. The difference is that TikTok sales often depend on creators, and affiliate commission can outweigh every other fee.
What TikTok Shop sellers should do now
You cannot negotiate the rate, but you can make sure your prices and promotions still make money.
Find your exact sub-category rate
Download the 1 September 2026 PDF from the commission fee page and search for your level 3 category. Note whether a S$30 cap applies.
Check a settled order
In Seller Center, go to Finance, Transactions, Settled, then View Details on an order from after 1 September. Confirm the commission and transaction fee match your sums.
Recalculate margin per product
For each best seller, subtract cost of goods, packaging, shipping you absorb, commission, the 3.27% fee, BXP fee if any, and affiliate commission. Flag anything under your minimum margin.
Decide on BXP with numbers
Compare total fees with and without BXP, then look at your conversion data. Remember that suspended BXP sellers revert to the standard 9.810% rate.
Review discounts and affiliate rates
Seller discounts reduce the commission base, but they cut your revenue more. A small price rise or a lower affiliate rate on low-margin items may be the simpler fix.
Keep an owned channel
Collect customer emails where the platform rules allow it and send repeat buyers to your own store, where fees are lower.
Is it time to open your own online store?
For most small sellers the answer is both, not either. TikTok Shop is good at reaching new buyers through videos and live selling. Your own Shopify store is where repeat customers can buy without paying 13% to 16% in platform fees on each order.
A Shopify Basic store costs S$29 to S$39 a month plus payment fees, as our Shopify store cost guide shows. At 300 orders of S$50 a month, the TikTok fees above are about S$1,960 a month for a standard seller, while Shopify card fees on the same orders would be about S$630 plus the plan. The catch is traffic: on your own store you must bring the buyers yourself.
Do it yourself or get help?
Checking your TikTok Shop margins is a spreadsheet job you can do yourself in an afternoon with the steps above. Use the settled order details as your source of truth, because they show exactly what TikTok deducted.
If the numbers point towards an own store for repeat buyers, our Shopify Store package (S$1,890, paid upfront) sets up the store, payments, shipping rates and GST settings so you can start moving customers off the marketplace.
Frequently asked questions
From 1 September 2026, TikTok Shop Singapore charges a standard Platform Commission Fee of 9.810% on most product categories, and 7.085% for sellers on the Bonus Extra Program. Rates include GST. Some electronics categories carry a S$30 fee cap per item. Check your exact sub-category in the rate table PDF on TikTok's Seller Academy commission page.
Yes. The transaction fee is a separate 3.27% charge, GST inclusive, deducted from settlement for every successful order. Since 1 April 2026 it is calculated on the customer payment plus any platform discount, so buyer-paid shipping and platform vouchers count towards the fee base. It did not change in September 2026.
Only if the extra vouchers bring more orders. BXP cuts commission from 9.810% to 7.085%, but adds a service fee of 5.45% for most categories, more during big campaigns, capped at S$30 per item. On fees alone a BXP order costs more than a standard one. Compare your conversion rate with and without BXP before deciding.
On published rates as of October 2026, yes for a non-Mall seller in a general category. TikTok Shop's standard commission plus transaction fee is about 13.1% of a S$50 order, against about 17.4% on Shopee. But TikTok sales often rely on affiliate creators, and their commission can make the total cost higher than Shopee.
No. TikTok says commission is charged only on valid orders, meaning paid orders delivered to and accepted by the buyer. If the whole order is returned, the full commission is refunded to the seller. If part of the order is refunded, the commission on the refunded items is refunded.
