Short answer
Most small Singapore teams should buy direct from Google on the Flexible Plan (Business Starter S$9.40 per user a month before GST). Use a reseller only for invoice billing, bundled support or volume terms, and make sure you hold the super admin account.
Two ways to buy Google Workspace in Singapore
Google Workspace is the same product either way: same Gmail, Drive, Meet and admin console. What changes is who bills you, who you call for help and what contract terms apply.
Direct from Google
SimplestFrom S$9.40/user/mo
- Sign up online, pay by card in SGD
- Google's published prices and plans
- Support from Google (by plan)
- You manage everything in the Admin console
Best for: Small teams happy to pay by card and manage their own account.
Through a reseller
Billing and serviceReseller's own price
- Invoice or local bank transfer billing
- Reseller can handle setup and first-line support
- Prices and terms set by the reseller
- Risk if the reseller holds your only admin account
Best for: Businesses that need invoicing, bundled IT support or a single supplier.

Google Workspace prices in SGD
Google's Singapore pricing page shows these prices per user per month on the Flexible Plan, excluding tax, as of October 2026. GST at 9% is added for Singapore customers.
| Edition | Price (Flexible, before GST) | Pooled storage per user | Notable extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Starter | S$9.40 | 30 GB | Custom email, Meet up to 100, Gemini in Gmail |
| Business Standard | S$18.80 | 2 TB | Meet recording, appointment booking, eSignature |
| Business Plus | S$29.40 | 5 TB | Vault, advanced endpoint management |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | 5 TB+ | DLP, data regions, context-aware access |
Google says a one-year commitment saves 16%, and the page currently shows an introductory discount for the first three months on new sign-ups (30% on Starter, 20% on Standard and Plus). Promotions change, so check the page on the day you buy. For a fuller look at what email costs, including Microsoft and Zoho, see business email costs in Singapore.
Flexible vs Annual plan: which to pick
This choice matters more than direct versus reseller. Google's plan comparison sets out the rules:
| Flexible Plan | Annual/Fixed-Term Plan | |
|---|---|---|
| Commitment | None | One year or more for the licences bought |
| Price | Full monthly price | About 16% lower |
| Add users | Any time | Any time (prorated) |
| Remove users | Any time; bill drops next month | Only at renewal; you pay for all licences until then |
| Cancel | Any time, no penalty | You owe the full commitment |
Choose Flexible if your headcount changes, you are new to Workspace, or you might switch providers. Choose Annual only when headcount is stable and you are sure about the edition, because Google says you can downgrade an Annual subscription only after switching to Flexible, which takes effect at renewal. Resellers often sell annual terms by default; ask which one you are being quoted.
Super admin ownership: the one thing not to give away
The super admin account controls everything: users, email routing, security settings, data exports and billing. If a reseller, freelancer or former staff member holds the only super admin login, you can be locked out of your own email domain when the relationship ends.
Google's admin console lets you see and change a reseller's access to your Admin console and its purchase consent, under Account, then Reseller management. Check it once a year. Our Google Workspace security checklist covers admin accounts and MFA in more detail.
What to check before signing with a reseller
Resellers vary from large Google partners to one-person IT shops. Google's own partner directory lists authorised partners. Whoever you choose, ask for these in writing:
Reseller questions
A reseller charging slightly more than Google can still be good value if it includes setup, migration and support you would otherwise pay for. Compare the total cost for a year, not only the per-user line.
How to move billing from a reseller to Google
Google lets you transfer a paid Workspace subscription from a reseller to Google, from Google to a reseller, or between resellers (Google: transfer subscriptions between Google and resellers). Google says transfers do not affect your data or availability, but they are not reversible.
Confirm you are a super admin
Only a super administrator can start the transfer. If the reseller holds the only super admin, ask them to create one for you first.
Check your contract with the reseller
An annual term or notice period with the reseller still applies. Settle what you owe before transferring.
Open Reseller management
In the Google Admin console, go to Account, then Reseller management, find the subscription and choose Transfer to Google.
Set up billing with Google
Add a payment method and choose Flexible or Annual. Google may ask you to verify domain ownership for some editions.
Review access afterwards
Remove the reseller's admin roles and purchase consent if they no longer work for you, and rotate any shared passwords.
Google notes that if the transfer date is not the first of the month, you get two bills that month. Plan the switch near the start of a month to keep accounting simple.
Do it yourself or get help?
Signing up directly takes about 30 minutes plus DNS changes for your domain. The parts that cause trouble later are the admin account set-up, email authentication records and security settings.
Our Business Email Setup (S$249) sets up Workspace bought directly in your name, with MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and a super admin you control. Our Microsoft 365 / Google Security Lockdown (S$590) then reviews admin roles, reseller access, MFA and sharing settings. For the full setup process, see how to set up business email in Singapore.
Frequently asked questions
Google's Singapore pricing page lists Business Starter at S$9.40, Business Standard at S$18.80 and Business Plus at S$29.40 per user per month on the Flexible Plan, before GST, as of October 2026. A one-year commitment saves 16 percent, and introductory discounts for new customers appear from time to time.
Sometimes, but not usually for small teams. Resellers set their own prices and may offer discounts on annual terms or bundle setup and support. Compare the yearly total, the plan type, the minimum term and what support is included. Buying direct from Google on the Flexible Plan gives you the most freedom to change.
On the Flexible Plan, yes, without penalty, and you pay only for what you used. On the Annual or Fixed-Term Plan, you owe the full commitment if you cancel early, and you can only reduce licences at renewal. Reseller contracts may have their own terms, so check the agreement before signing.
A super administrator can transfer the subscription in the Google Admin console under Account, then Reseller management, by choosing Transfer to Google and setting up billing. Google says transfers do not affect data or service, but they cannot be reversed. Settle any remaining reseller contract terms first.
No. Keep at least one super admin account in your business's name with strong MFA, and let the reseller use its own admin role and the reseller access Google provides. If a reseller holds your only super admin, you can lose control of your email domain when the relationship ends.
