What's included

  • Daily automatic malware scan (ClamAV / Linux Malware Detect, Imunify360 or Wordfence, to suit your stack)
  • One morning summary email from your server: scan result, updates due, firewall blocks, certificate and backup status
  • Firewall set up and checked: UFW or your cloud firewall, with only the ports you need open
  • Brute-force protection with CrowdSec or fail2ban; SSH key-only login, root login off, 2FA on control panels
  • Automatic operating-system security updates (e.g. unattended-upgrades) with a safe reboot window
  • Outdated-software report: OS packages, CMS plugins and app dependencies (Dependabot, npm audit, composer audit)
  • Cloudflare in front of the site (free plan or yours): WAF rules, rate limits on logins and forms, HTTPS enforced
  • TLS certificates on auto-renew, plus uptime, SSL and domain-expiry alerts to your email
  • File integrity checks on key system and app files
  • Encrypted off-site backups with a tested restore
  • Domain breach check (Have I Been Pwned) and SPF / DMARC checked

Not included

  • More than one server or app (S$190 for each extra one, quoted in the brief)
  • Tool and service fees (e.g. Imunify360, paid Cloudflare plans, backup storage), paid by you in your name
  • Watching your systems around the clock or acting on alerts for you: reports and alerts go straight to you
  • Security testing that tries to break in (needs a CSA-licensed provider)
  • Cleaning up a server that is already compromised (quote)
  • Fixing your app's own code when a dependency update needs code changes (quoted separately)

What we need from you

  • SSH or control-panel access (we send a step-by-step guide for adding our key)
  • Access to your DNS / Cloudflare and hosting account
  • A short list of what runs on the server and who logs in
  • An email address for the daily reports and alerts

We set up and look after trusted security products that you license in your own name. We are not a penetration-testing or security operations centre (SOC) provider. Under Singapore's Cybersecurity Act those services need a CSA licence, and we're happy to point you to licensed providers.

Software & Server Protection Setup — questions

One Linux VPS or cloud server (DigitalOcean, AWS Lightsail, Google Cloud, Azure, Vultr and similar) and the app or website on it, whether that is WordPress, Laravel, Node.js, Python or Docker. Windows Server and shared cPanel hosting are possible with a reduced tool set; the brief asks which you have.

The tools send their daily reports and alerts straight to your email. We do not sit and watch your server around the clock. If you forward us an alert, we explain it and fix the setting in business hours, and a care plan keeps everything updated each month.

The scans are scheduled for quiet hours and the firewall rules are tested against your app before we switch them on. Updates that could break something are listed in the report for you to approve rather than applied silently.
