Route Planning Apps for Small Delivery Fleets in Singapore

If your drivers spend the morning arguing over who takes which postcode, a route planning app pays for itself quickly. The four tools most small fleets shortlist price in very different ways: Circuit for Teams by stops, Routific by orders, Detrack and OptimoRoute per driver. This guide compares them on published prices (October 2026), how many stops you get, proof of delivery, customer ETA messages and how easily you can export your data. It ends with a simple way to test one in a week.

Short answer

For a small fleet doing under about 1,000 deliveries a month, Routific (free to 100 orders, then US$150 flat) or Circuit for Teams (US$125 for 1,000 stops) are the simplest. With few drivers and many stops each, per-driver tools like Detrack (from US$29 a driver) can cost less.

Quick comparison: four route planning apps

How each app charges, and what that means for your fleet

The pricing model matters more than the headline price. Work out your monthly stops and the number of drivers, then compare.

Proof of delivery, signatures and photos

For many Singapore businesses, proof of delivery is the real reason to buy. It settles "I never got it" disputes and condo security-desk handovers.

  • Circuit for Teams: signature capture and photos (5 on Starter, 10 on Premium), geotags and timestamps, cash on delivery, and a strictness setting that forces drivers to capture proof.
  • Routific: proof of delivery is included in its single plan, alongside a driver app and delivery tracker.
  • Detrack: signature, up to 10 photos, location and timestamp on Pro, plus vehicle safety checks on Advanced.
  • OptimoRoute: digital signatures, photos and custom forms on Pro.

Customer ETA notifications and tracking pages

Customers in Singapore expect a message with a delivery window and a tracking link. All four tools send ETA updates, but the details differ.

If you send SMS under your business name in Singapore, IMDA's SMS Sender ID Registry rules apply to alphanumeric sender IDs; unregistered ones are labelled "Likely-SCAM". Ask the vendor how they handle Singapore sender IDs before you rely on branded SMS.

Data export and what happens if you leave

Route history is useful for pricing new customers and settling disputes months later. Check how long each tool keeps it and how you get it out.

  • Circuit for Teams keeps data for 30 days on Starter, 1 year on Premium and 5 years on Expert, with route manifests and performance analytics on every plan.
  • Detrack says it stores data for up to 5 years and offers an API.
  • OptimoRoute lists export to Excel and a web service API on all plans.
  • Routific lists integrations, an API and a Shopify app.

Before you commit, download a month of completed stops and proof-of-delivery records during the trial. If that is awkward in the trial, it will be awkward when you need it for a dispute. Your customer list should still live in your own system; see our guide to the best CRM for small businesses in Singapore.

How to test a route planning app in one week

  1. Export one normal week of deliveries

Pull addresses, time windows and parcel counts from your orders into a spreadsheet. Include postal codes; they geocode more reliably in Singapore than block names alone.

  2. Start two free trials at once

Pick one per-stop or per-order tool and one per-driver tool. Upload the same week to both.

  3. Check the routes with your best driver

Ask whether the order makes sense for loading bays, ERP gantries and condo access. Software does not know which guardhouse takes 15 minutes.

  4. Run two real days

Use the driver app for actual deliveries, with proof of delivery switched on.

  5. Compare cost, time and complaints

Note total driving time, missed windows and how many customers replied to the ETA message.

  6. Export the data before deciding

Download the stops and proof records to confirm you can get your data out.

Do it yourself or get help?

Off-the-shelf apps suit most small fleets, and the trial above is enough to choose. You only need help when the app has to talk to your other systems: orders from your website, invoices in your accounting software, or a customer tracking page on your own domain.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on volume. Routific is free up to 100 orders a month. For up to 1,000 stops, Circuit for Teams Starter is US$125 and Routific is US$150 flat. With one or two drivers doing many stops each, per-driver tools like Detrack Pro at US$29 per driver can be cheaper. Prices are approximate as of October 2026.

Google Maps lets you add several stops to a route, but it does not reorder stops into the most efficient sequence for a whole fleet, assign stops to drivers, send customer ETAs or capture proof of delivery. It works for a single driver with a few drops. A fleet with daily runs usually saves time with a dedicated route planner.

Routific lists a two-way Shopify app. Other tools offer spreadsheet uploads, APIs or integrations, so orders can be imported from Shopify through a CSV export or an automation tool. Test the import with a real week of orders during the free trial before you commit.

It can be. Photos of a doorway, a recipient's name and a signature are personal data. Under the PDPA you should collect only what you need, protect it, and not keep it longer than necessary for business or legal purposes. Set a retention period, limit who can view records, and mention delivery photos in your privacy notice.

Most tools let you upload a spreadsheet of stops, add drivers and generate routes on the first day. The longer part is getting drivers comfortable with the app, cleaning up addresses and setting customer notifications. Plan a one-week trial with real deliveries before you switch over fully.
